I spent 20 years in the printing and publishing industry prior to 1985. Then 20 years training entrepreneurs to become more efficient, productive and profitable. I became motivated to write my first book in 2000 so that I’d be eligible to speak at an expo in Sacramento.
The first book, Mixing it Up! The Entrepreneur’s New Testament took me five months to write. I wanted to be a speaker at an Entrepreneur’s Expo and wouldn’t have disappointed the event organizer so I had to get it done. It was a great experience to see how quickly I could get through the process.
The second, Making a List and Checking it Twice, only took three weeks. Again, I had a speaking engagement, so I discovered I work well under pressure.
Next, I wrote a children’s story, The Adventures of Master Pineapple, or it wrote itself through a dream I had. It’s about children who have cancer and escape the cancer treatment center and the adventure they experience leads them through curing their cancer. All proceeds are dedicated to a cancer resource service.
My fourth book, Just Over Broke Syndrome, took three-and-a-half years to research. Believe me, it’ll be my last research work. That was very difficult with my personality.
My fifth book is my first children’s book, The Adventures of Master Pineapple and is dedicated children going to health issues. The entire story came to me in a dream.
Create Your Own Reality – The Ancient Wisdom is my sixth book and was inspired by my brother’s ten year battle with terminal illnesses as well as the many critical circumstances I faced for the majority of my life.
Be Your Own Boss Guide came about because of a speaking engagement I had. The attendees were ex-convicts. At the time there were 2,000 applicants for every job. It hit me hard! How were they ever going to get a job when they might be the only one with a prison record? So, I spent three years researching jobs people could start as a business. It guides them through the process of the launch, marketing and building relationships so the majority of their business comes to them through referrals.
Just Over Broke Syndrome was inspired by a speaking engagement I did when Mervyn’s, Crate and Barrell, Circuit City and many other companies shut their doors in 2008. I met couples who both lost their jobs and had nowhere to turn for employment. It’s the same premise as Be Your Own Boss but encourages employees to walk away from a job before they get laid off. It guides them through the process of the launch, marketing and building relationships so the majority of their business comes to them through referrals.
In 2000 I created a program to remove all the negative emotions anyone has been exposed to throughout their lives. I had been conducting this program throughout the Bay Area with phenomenal success when one of my clients asked if I had a book they could read about the process. Neuro Emotional antiSabotage Technique was published in 2011.
My 10th book, About Face – Traits Tell Tales is a fun guide in learning how to communicate with others based on physiognomy (the study of facial traits) which was originally credited to Socrates. In the mid 30s, a judge in Chicago used Physiognomy to predict whether people were guilty or not, just based on their facial traits. You can reduce the time it takes others to be comfortable talking with you and gain their confidence by understanding how fast to talk with them, how much information to provide, whether you should observe the six-foot rule, and so many other styles in communications.
